Welcome to KARING.org

KARING was established by the interfaith clergy of Northbrook and Glenview as a way to provide long term support for residents of the Gulf Coast who were affected by Hurricane Katrina. Our special focus has been Waveland, Mississippi in Hancock County.

Mission statement:

As a non for profit organization KARING will raise funds and coordinate projects that rebuild and enrich the lives of the community survivors. KARING will build an enduring network of personal connections that will strengthen our communities.

Waveland's ball fields have been wonderfully restored for the community. It has become a community gathering place but the old metal playground is still left from the storm 4 years ago. It is our hope to replace the playground with a safe and updated park.

We will be raising funds to help replace the Waveland Ball Field/ Bourgeois Park playground.
